Theatre project ends with performance in Forest Garden

26 Apr 2024

We completed a series of sessions  led by Claire Raftery and Damian Wright, of Brighton based theatre company, Periplum, exploring ways of animating outdoor space, using narrative from researched material about the lives of people during the First World War in Wimborne. After experimenting in several town centre locations, we prepared a small scale experimental ’sharing’ of work-in-progress in a wild Forest Garden in the town centre for a small invited audience on July 19. Also performing were students from Allenbourn School, who worked with Tony Horitz, to devise a scene about ways children were encouraged to join the war effort.
